What is remission and how will I know?

Remission is when your Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) is no longer active. Inflammation is reduced and stops causing damage to your intestines. When your IBD is in remission, you should have no more symptoms like diarrhea, pain, or fatigue; your blood or fecal tests show normal inflammation levels; and any ulcerations or lesions in your intestines start to heal.
