Should I participate in a clinical trial?

Clinical trials evaluate new treatments/methods for IBD management, treatment, diagnosis, prevention, screening, and/or quality of life enhancement. Eligibility varies due to the different characteristics needed to participate in each trial. For example, some trials may require a certain age and/or diagnoses. If you are interested in learning more about clinical trials or finding one in which to participate, there are online clinical trial finders such as https://clinicaltrials.gov/. However, before enrolling, talk with a member of your Care Team to find out if a clinical trial may be right for you.
