Can I treat Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) with diet?

Diet is typically used in combination with other treatments and can be helpful in managing symptoms or maintaining remission of IBD. Depending on your disease severity, you can discuss with your doctor using only dietary changes to manage your Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). However, diet alone is not usually recommended unless your IBD is mild or in remission.
